Genesis 26:22 And he removed from thence, and digged another well; and for that they strove not: and he called the name of it Rehoboth; and he said, For now the LORD hath made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land.
In these last days, the professed church is carnal and fleshly. It has plenty of entertainments--
"Christian" clubs, game nights, step teams, promises of health and wealth, etc. It is more concerned with pleasing man than God. Rehoboth is a place where the earnest Christian can worship and serve the Lord Jesus Christ according to the Bible, and be fruitful in His service."And why Baptist?" Our ministry is patterned after the ministry of John the Baptist who came to prepare Israel for the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ... "And many of the children of Israel shall he turn to the Lord their God. And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord." (Luke 1:16-17)
We love Jesus Christ and want to lift up His name and His doctrine. We also love each other.
